Dreams

I want to be a singer. I dream of standing in the spotlight on a platform in front of thousands, the glare of the lights on me - the music carrying me off to amazing places. It's my home. Always will be. I want nothing more. Except maybe to be a vampire EXACTLY like Edward, in Twilight, including his age and self control, except a girl version or like Bella after she turns vampire.

I also want to make other people dreams come true. I'm not saying that I have all the answers to the world's problems - I don't. I want to make a difference, I don't just want people to remember me as nice. I want to make my life WORTH something. I want people to remember me as someone who made a difference, and I do. I want to make a difference.

Dreams are our essence, they give an insight to who we are, and make up our entire being. They are special glimmers of hope, and wishes, and wants. They give us a wonderful feeling inside, and they tell you that while you need to work for things... Nothing is too far away if you can just believe. 

Close your eyes, right now, right here. Put up a bubble around you, leaving reality outside, now let things float through your head. Don't try to make sense of them. Let random images and scenes through you, and just drift. Stay there, there in your happy little world, where no-one can judge you or criticise, and you can do ANYTHING. When you're ready, pop the bubble, and jump out. Imagination is a powerful thing.

And so are dreams, magical, even, I would say. They give us so much more than entertainment. They give us hope, hope, memories, and laughter. Dreams put things in perspective like nothing else, but they also bring valuable lessons and happy days. Dreams. How absolutely... Perfect.

Relationships

Relationships are connections, physically, mentally, emotionally or spiritually. Relationships are bonds of love, friendship, family, motherhood, brotherhood, sisterhood, relationships are ties that do not break. Ties that do not wear down over time, but thrive trough the darkest of days. They change and they loosen and tighten and are covered and they stretch but they never break because they can't. They can't break, so they don't. Ever. It's why they're formed strong in the first place. 

Matters of the heart and mind may often clash, but here is when they sometimes meet in sweet harmony.

Relationships are who you are and where you've been. They're the insight into your existence, they reflect your choices, mistakes, hopes, dreams and achievements. 

Relationships are feeling safe even when they're a thousand miles away, it's getting one of those 'THIS is life' feelings. It's making you feel warm inside, it's lighting up the whole world with a special glow that makes you feel like nothing could be better.

It's those who pick you up when you fall, and then if that fails, lie down right beside you. 

They're those that you are linked to, it's the way in which two are more people are connected. It may be by blood, it may be by social, business, love political or emotional.

Relationships don't have to be based on love with the opposite gender. No. Relationships... Are so much more than that. They're feelings.  They're souls, in the palm of your hand, twisting like a graceful silver ribbon in the light. And most of all... They're people you need.

They are simply those who are important, those you care about, those you trust and respect. Those you've met on the walk of life, and who you just... Want around for a couple hundred years. NEED around for the rest of your time.

They are simply who you you are.

Because with each and every person you touch, they touch you too. They make up a part of you, a part of who you are, a part of the atoms that make up your body, a part of your being, a part of who you are remembered as.

The only true definition of YOUR relationship lies in your heart. The link is different for everyone, but there are always links, waiting to be uncovered, and only you can discover and understand them, and make sense from them. That's just life. Things don't make sense sometimes. People don't make sense sometimes. That could be for the best in certain situations :). But the way you feel about them always will be clear in the end, because that's what they're meant for.

A famous quote is from the movie The Bucket List. Beautiful movie, I watched it a couple years ago. "You measure your life by those who measure their life by yours." I love that .

You know... I've always wondered. How do you measure how much your life is worth? Some measure by your accomplishments. Others by your attitude, how good you were to people. Me, I've just found my answer.  I measure people... By what those that care about you you are about think about you. By those you've touched along the way.
